Manchester Piccadilly is the central railway station in Manchester, England. Established as Store Street in 1842, it was renamed Manchester Piccadilly in 1960, and it's one of 19 main stations managed by Network Rail.
Manchester's railway station provides long-distance and cross-country services to numerous destinations, including London, Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bristol, and many others. Connecting many British cities, Piccadilly is the busiest station in Manchester with over 30 million passengers a year. Mainly trains are operated by the six companies: TransPennine Express, Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, Northern Trains, TfW Rail, and East Midland Railway. |
